Hi! I purchased a friends old computer from him, and he has netware installed. how can i delete it or login as an administrator so that I can actually use the thing. I have lost contact with my friend to get the info from him. Please help!!!!!
Answer -
If you want to use it as a workstation then you will have to get a copy of Windows or Linux and install over it. NetWare is only for servers. What version of NetWare is it and what do you want to use it for?

Thanx, I just wanted to download some programs off the net but it would not let me save anything into the hard drive. I will try to find a windows disk and install it again.

It almost sounds like you are running a windows box with the novell client. That I can fix. If you have a Novell server then you will need to wipe it.

Yeah it is a Novell server. What can I do?
Answer: If you want to use it as a workstation you will need an operating system. You would stick the Windows 2000 or XP cd in the drive and boot. It should walk you through the install. Delete any partitions on the server. You will have to create a windows partition. You will also need to buy a copy of your os. Www.ebay.com should have a few cheap ones. I will tell you not to pirate but that is your business.
