Question: How do I create and loan an Autoexec.bat file on startup upon opening Windows XP
Answer: Autoexec.bat still exists on the c: drive. You can edit it with good old notepad. It you want something to launch when XP starts you are better off loading it through the registry. Go to start - > run and type regedit. From there go to hkey local machine -> software-> microsoft -> windows->current version-> and then Run. You should see entries there already for other things that start up automatically. You can add anythig to that list you want. |
