i have a DNS server 2003 named maximas.i have created a user namded ABC, with the permission (log on localy)on this domain(maximas).i put this user under a OU named programer.then i applied group policy on this OU.I have a client(of maximas) system window 2000 professional. Now when i login with ABC on client end the group policy does't work on this user. As well this is properly working if i login with the same user on Maximas.i mean to say that if i login with same user on Maximas group policy works but not at the client end. plese let me know where is the problem.
Answer: Group policy settings are generally applied to the workstation at bootup. Try rebooting the workstation. Other than that it sounds like everything is setup well.
