Question: Hi Andrew,

I just installed Apache and PHP on my computer, as I am trying to learn to program in PHP, and have been advised to block port 80 to ensure the security of my computer. My question is: how do I do this? (I am using Windows XP with SP2 installed and my firewall is the default Windows Firewall).

Thanks for your time.
Answer: If you are running xp firewall this should already be blocked. You can test it from another machine. Port 80 is really not that insecure. Especially running apache instead of iis.
