Question: Sir,
I am student of computer science.I have interest in networking. Is that necessary I should have programming skills for learning networking??
I have introduction of C++ and JAVA.Can I learn and earn networking certification without having skills in programming????
Should I start learning networking now???
Thanks a lot
Answer: Programming and Networking are really very different skills. I am great at designing networks and server but I am not a very good programmer. It seems that most programmers couldn't install a copy of Windows 2003 on a real server if their life depended on it. It never hurts to learn programming but if you want to get into networking learn, Linux, Windows and try to do as much as you can. Most school poorly train students for network or computer hardware job. Get an internship and learn on the job. |
