Question: Hello Andrew

I am the defacto SysAdm for my company's computer network. We have seven servers running Windows 2000 Server with about 25 workstations, all running Windows 2000 Pro.

I'm upgrading one workstations' PC with a PC running WinXP. Can you advise me how to get the domain to recognize this new PC.

Thanks,
Lou

Answer: To add and remove computers from the domain, right click "my computer" and choose properties. Then click on the computer name tab and choose change. It will ask you the username and password when you join the domain. Give it the domain administrator username and password. Also make sure that the workstations use the w2k server for DNS. That way it will be able to see the domain and connect to it.
