Question: Hi,
two days ago an emploee of mine connected his laptop to my router to read his email.
My network router has DHCP enabled.
Since I had to leave him alone for a while, i now am afraid that he could copy some shared files of mine from my pc to his laptop.
Is there any way to find out if any files have been copied (some windows network history or similar)?
Thank you very much.
Answer: Unless you purcahsed and installed some kind of auditing software before this, you would not be able to tell if data was read off your hard drive over the network. You could scan their hard drive to see if the files are there. Even if the employee deleted the files you could use a recovery tool to recover them. |
