|
Question: Dear expert,
I was recently taking exam# 70-291 and I could not pass this exam due to simulation on applying GPO. I would like to know how to apply GPO to users or PCs located in an Organizational unit.
My other question is how to apply MX using the AD. IF you have any examples I could look into that will very much appreciated.
Thanks,
Habib
Answer: MX records are managed in DNS which may or may not have anything to do with Active Directory. MX is just a pointer for a domain to a host in that domain. For example if I had domain.com and a host called mail.domain.com my MX would point to mail.domain.com so that you could email user@domain.com instead of user@mail.domain.com. The group policy object would be applied in active directory users and computers. If you right click the OU and choose properties you can see the group policy tab. From here you can apply the group policy. |
