Question: hi,
how can u investigate excessive use of internet, visits to banned sites and use of unauthorised software using cookies, url history files and temporary internet files.
Answer: For these things your would be better off using a third party product like surfcontrol or websence. These products are designed to monitor or restrict internet usage. Best of all you don't need to load anything on the workstations just the gateway. You can get an idea what site someone is going to by looking at the cache and cookies but the user can hide that by deleting their history. |
