Question: i have a few questions for a school research report
why do you use the computer?
when do you think you usse the computer the most?
what do you do at that time?
tell me about what you do most of the time on the computer?
what kind of computer do you use?
what is your favorite computer and why?

how much does it cost to buy a computer?
whats the least expensive brand and how much is it?

is there danger of sommeone hacking into your computer with dial-up or a direct connection?
Answer: hy do you use the computer? - I fix them and I mostly search for information on the net. Also I do ecommerce online.
when do you think you usse the computer the most? - At work
what do you do at that time? - Repair and diagnose
tell me about what you do most of the time on the computer? - mostly search on google for information to repair or reconfigure a network
what kind of computer do you use? - a white box with an AMD Athlon 1200
what is your favorite computer and why? - AMD powered whiteboxes. You get more bang for the buck with AMD. I avoid name brands because they are proprietary and harder to work on.
what can i do to extend the life of my floppy disks? - not much just keep them away from cellphones or anything magnetic
how much does it cost to buy a computer? - between $179 amd $1000
whats the least expensive brand and how much is it? - Emachines. They average $300
whats the most expensive brand and how much is it? - Gateway. around $700
which do you like better, a labtop computer or a desktop computer? - Desktop, they are more cost effective and you can upgrade/fix them
whats your favorite website and why? - google. I could't do my job without it
what is multimedia? - sound and video etc.
what are the componets, and the elements of multimedia? - Speakers media formats etc.
do you think a computer can bring us happiness? - It's just a tool. Happiness is not found in the tools we use but what we choose to do with them.

what are some good things about computers? - they are cheaper and they can be made to do the work for you.
what are some bad things about computers? - they break and they take forever to reboot.
does having a computer make life easier or harder, why do you think this? - easier overall. but some days I question this. They can do so many repetative little tasks that would otherwise take a human years.
is there danger of sommeone hacking into your computer with dial-up or a direct connection? - Always. You need to have a firewall and antivirus protection and use good passwords |
