|
Question: I would like to know how to network 2 computers together on a DSL 302g modem. I would like to achieve Internet access on both PCs. On the Lan Host I have D-Link (302g) which is working fine. OS in question = XP Pro. The 2nd computer is linked through LAN to the main host and I want to access internet through the host and the DSL 302g modem.
Essentially I would like to have internet access on both computers.
How can I go about doing this with the D-Link DSL 302g modem?
Answer: You can use Internet Connection shareing on the Xp machine. You will need 2 network cards on the XP machine and a cross over cable. You plug in the other computer to one card on the XP machine with the crossover cable. Then you connect the Internet to the other card on the XP machine. Then you run internet conncetion sharing.
