Question: What to do when most web conferencing services require a simple java download, but most computer users are not allowed to download or install onto the machines they are on.
Thanks so much for your help.

Answer: That is a tough one. You could give them admin rights for s short while and let them down load the app then remove the admin rights. This would be time consumming. You might be able to use Group Policy to add the site to the "trusted sites" or "local intranet sites" in internet explorer. It's not so much the admin rights that are necessary but the restrictions in Internet Explorer. Go to tools , Internet Options and Security tab. Here is where you can add the site. Click on trusted sites and then the sites button. |
