Question: Hi expert
How are you doing?
I would like to set up DRM on my website for audio preview and purchase.
Scenario:
The client is allowed to listen to any previewed song at my site for 30s. Should the client agree to buy the product, he will be given the license and authority to download my product. Otherwise, the content should be fully protected.
Your input in all forms would be the most helpful answer. i would wish to know the procedure from the start to the end and eventually having DRM implemented online.
Thank you
God bless

Answer: There are a lot of shopping carts out there that will support soft goods. They will only allow downloads after purchase. As far as the 30 second demo, I would think that you could find some MP3 editing software on sourceforge.net that would chop off the rest of the mp3. Then keep 2 sets of songs. 1 for purshase and one to link to for download. As far as DRM goes I don't have any direct experience with that. All the ecommerce I do is with real goods like fantasycostumes.com. As far as getting a file to play when you click a link that is very easy. Just link to it like it was just an HTML page. The client computer will play it through media player automatically. |
