|
Question: Hi i'm running Windows XP Service Pack 2, I'm using internet connection sharing, so all the other computers in the office to have an access to the internet. How my i restrict the access just to specific sites that i want them only to visit. By a programa or a script. Any help will be appreciated.
Kind Regards,

Answer: You could purchase a product that will do filtering etc like surfcontrol. They are expensive. The other idea is a cheesy way that should work if you only have a few sites that everyone needs access to. Add the sites to the hosts file on each workstation then disable their DNS. If you can't get name resolution you won't be able to get out to the internet. The hosts file will provide name resolution for the few sites that need it. |
