Question -
I am running Windows, and am on a Network at work. When I boot up my computer, or when it goes to screensaver, my user idea and an icon show up on the screen, as well as a couple other users. Under my name, it says I have 5 unread emails, and when I click on this, it shows my two hotmail account names. I cannot seem to get rid of this, despite having deleted the user profiles from my passport account under "user Accounts"/"Manage My Network Passwords". Is there some way of removing this telltale sign? Jeff
Answer -
Try going to C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows Messenger\ There should be the username data for windows messenger there.
Answer: Go to c:\documents and settings\%username%
Then go to tools -> folder options -> view and set it to show the hidden files. Then you should see the application data folder and whats in it. Windows Messenger might not be there. It might be MSN messenger if you have an older OS like 98. I have assumed you are running XP. If this doesn't work let me know and let me know what OS you are running. |
