Subject: odbc error
Question: i was installing this application on my computer and added myself to the member of tab as well as gave myself rights to have access to it.
when i open it and place in the username & password it keeps saying:
error connecting to database 0:IM002 [Microsoft] [ODBC Drive Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified ODBC.
I thought oh I probably just didn't install it correctly, so did the uninstall and reinstall from add/remove programs. But the same thing happens.
Can you please give me some ideas as to how I can correct this, it is quite important.

Answer: It sounds like the application is looking for a DSN. A DSN is like a shortcut to a database. You create it under control panel under odbc databases. You'll have to figure out what setting it's looking for. What application are you instaling? |
