The reverse is true. The whole purpose of a UPS is to protect the server from power spikes and outages. Saying that you should never use a UPS because they are dangerous to the server is like saying car alarms encourage car theft. If you want documentation go to www.apc.com. I don't think that there is an article specifically stating that UPSs are safe because it is assumed. I am astonished that your MIS director would say that. |
